Evadne (Vads) Janeke

Business Manager

Evadne (daughter of Poseidon) Janeke

Vads hails from Somerset, so the exotic name never fails to confuse people once she opens her mouth and a regular British accent comes out.  She joins TCO (working across client and creative services) having followed a rather roundabout route into the world of content.

Having been attracted by the glitzy world of ‘party planning’ she was convinced that a hospitality degree was right for her – this did however take her to the exciting world of F1 so that worked out pretty well. In between seasons traveling as a hostess (or Bun-Tart as they are politely termed) with McLaren F1, she spent 6 months snowboarding / cooking / cleaning in Val d’Isère. At which time it dawned on her that hospitality wasn’t for her and the world of events, sport and sponsorship was far more appealing and would possibly lead to a more grown up job - but not before one more F1 race season and a few more Red Bull parties.

With her feet back on British soil she joined MediaCom UK within their sponsorship department. During her 4 years there, the department morphed and grew into a multi-layered content division; however Vads had decided it was time to head south for warmer waters. She arrives at TCO with some interesting case studies under her belt; project management of Volkswagen’s partnership with The David Beckham Academy, BSkyB’s Skyride cycling initiative, Snickers 3 year skate and BMX association, and Universal’s Hot Fuzz DVD launch with Download Festival.

As well as making ends meet, she likes to be outside as much as possible, whether running, cycling, or dabbling on a surfboard, she will be making the most out of having the Australian elements at her fingertips.
